Η Βελανιδιά πραγματοποιεί τον χειρότερο εφιάλτη του ηθοποιού. Για δύο παραστάσεις διαφορετικοί καλεσμένοι ανεβαίνουν στη σκηνή χωρίς πρόβα, χωρίς να έχουν διαβάσει το κείμενο και χωρίς να έχουν την παραμικρή ιδέα τι πρόκειται να ακολουθήσει. Συναντιούνται επιτόπου με τη Μαρίνα Αργυρίδου και μαζί πρωταγωνιστούν σε μια τολμηρή θεατρική πρόκληση, όπου τα όρια της πραγματικότητας συνεχώς μεταβάλλονται. Μία απροσδόκητη ιστορία εξαπάτησης, απώλειας και συμφιλίωσης, δοσμένη με χιούμορ, τρέλα και ευαισθησία.

About the event:
Our current project, Just Tell Them Santa’s Dead, is an original series of one acts attempting to reclaim and modernize themes explored by classical playwrights such as Shakespeare, Euripides and Sophocles. Featuring a balanced cast of characters that include LGBTQ+ and minority representation, we believe that these pieces are an important contribution to the Cypriot theatrical milieu in which LGBTQ+ and minority communities are still either under or inappropriately represented. These one acts are, fundamentally, tragedies. Like Medea, Hamlet and Oedipus, a series of fated events and/or their own actions lead the characters and the audience down dark paths where the audience is invited to question the morality of the characters’ actions and our role in guarding, challenging or changing traditional societal values.

Η ΕΘΑΛ παρουσιάζει το έργο της βραβευμένης Καταλανής συγγραφέως Μάρτα Μπουτσάκα, το οποίο είναι βασισμένο στο πραγματικό γεγονός μιας αποτρόπαιης δολοφονίας που διέπραξε μια «παρέα» εφήβων στη Βαρκελώνη το 2005 και που είχε τότε συγκλονίσει ολόκληρη την Ισπανική κοινωνία.

We continue to acquaint kids with the masterpieces of classical music - this time our wonderful quartet of professionals will perform "The Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saens. This time, as part of the quartet, according to tradition, the new instrument will be the cello, playing the bass parts. Flute, oboe, piano will remain. Interactivity to the live sound of the classics will be given by the acrylic painting of all the characters of the "Carnival of the Animals" by a real artist. Each play about an animal is supplemented with poems performed by the actors of the Ostrov Theatre.

The Festival that never ends returns with Eleni Vitali and Panagiotis Margaris in a "Recital" that bears their special imprint on contemporary Greek music. The young Russian composer and pianist Kirill Richter is the most prominent representative of Russia's neoclassical music scene right now.
Kirill Richter is a prominent contemporary composer, supernova of the neoclassical scene. His works accompany the broadcasts of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, modern blockbusters, numerous ballet productions, and are globally performed by symphony orchestras and solo chamber musicians.
The Richter Trio concerts in the best halls of Europe Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Royal Albert Hall London (Elgar room) are sold out overnight, as well as their performances in global festivals such as Classical next (Rotterdam), Reeperbahn (Hamburg), The Great Escape (Brighton), Station Narva, etc.

About the event:
The Press and Information Office in collaboration with the Nicosia International Festival present a play which outlines the events surrounding the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, journalist and anti-corruption activist. The production, partly verbatim, will go right into the heart of Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination, the subsequent probe and the political drama. It will provide an insight behind the scenes as well as delve into the life of some of the protagonists.
Author and director Herman Grech (Times of Malta’s editor) gained access to some of the main players in the field and built a work of fiction based on interviews as well as the ongoing court cases. The play features five of Malta’s finest actors: Alan Paris, Kim Dalli, Jes Camilleri, Charlotte Grech and Joe Azzopardi.

Μορφές που σφράγισαν με την ιδιαίτερη συνδρομή τους την πορεία του θεάτρου στην Κύπρο, αλλά και πρόσωπα που τώρα ξεκινούν την δική τους διαδρομή, δημιουργούν την ιδανική συνθήκη για να υποδεχθούν το κοινό στο κλασικό πια έργο Ανθισμένες Μανόλιες. Μια εις βάθος μελέτη για την φιλία, η οποία αντισταθμίζει την μοναξιά και την ανάγκη του ανθρώπου για στήριξη και επαφή. Αυτή η αξία διεκδικεί τα σκήπτρα της μοναδικότητας, καθώς ξεδιπλώνεται μέσα από τις σκηνές του έργου αυτού, υπογραμμίζοντας την σημασία της στο σημερινό κοινό, επιμένοντας πως ακόμη μπορεί να υπάρξει και να λάμψει.
