Story of the life of the Great Ballet Star - Rudolf Nureyev. The Theater of Sergei Yankovsky presents a play "Jump to Freedom" with the participation of the leading ballet soloists of BOLSHOI Theatre, Moscow. "Jump to Freedom" is a unique combination of theater and ballet performance. The spectators will be able to learn about quite different sides of Nureyev’s personality: a lonely boy from an evacuated family, an ambitious student of a choreographic school and a self-confident accomplished dancer. The role of Rudolf Nureyev is brilliantly performed by Sergei Yankovsky, a talented and charming actor. In order to recreate the air of the age and the atmosphere of the ballet dancers’ everyday life Sergei Yankovsky studied classic dance at a ballet studio. The famous ballet dancer Ilze Liepa has noted: “Sergei Yankovsky is a brilliant impersonator; he gets into the role to such an extent that I can only wonder if he is a dramatic actor or a ballet dancer.” Yankovsky’s ballet studies culminated in the scene of a classic dance lesson, which was staged so skillfully that even the connoisseurs of ballet art believed that it was performed by a professional ballet dancer. In recognition of his work Sergei Yankovsky was awarded a special prize “For splendid rendering of the role of Rudolf Nureyev” at the Amur Autumn Festival, one of the major art events in Russia. Спектакль - легенда «Прыжок в свободу. История Рудольфа Нуреева»

Этот спектакль о звезде мирового балета ХХI века Рудольфе Нурееве родился на сцене Петербурга в 2007 году. С тех пор, уже более миллиона восторженных зрителей по миру с теплом вспоминают эту удивительную, понятную и трогательную постановку, рассказанную актером Сергеем Янковским. Спектакль уникален по жанру: актерское мастерство высочайшего уровня Сергея Янковского невероятным образом переплетается с балетными номерами. Здесь и тонкий юмор, и танец, и моменты полнейшей тишины, и надрыв, и слезы счастья. Здесь весь спектр чувств, который может вместить в себя человеческая душа за один вечер. Главная тема этого спектакля - масштабность личности, которая не теряет свое достоинство и силу даже за пять минут до смерти. Это рассказ о долгом творческом пути, о становлении великого артиста, о последнем выходе не сцену супер звезды. 2018 год обещает быть особенным. Это юбилейный год - 80 лет со дня рождения Рудольфа Нуреева. Сергей Янковский и ведущие солисты балета ведущих российских театров приготовили для зрителей немало сюрпризов. Спектакль идет в двух действиях.
