A unique event in Cyprus is coming up: Celebrity Ballet Gala, Celebrate the Love!

On 14 & 15 February, the Celebrity Ballet Gala features 12 brilliant artists from the world's leading theatres performing excerpts from the most famous ballets about love. During two evenings you will enjoy the performance of the principal dancers of Astana Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, English National Theatre, HET National Ballet, Kremlin Palace, Mikhailovsky Theatre, and Staatsballet Berlin. Lefkosia Youth Ballet has joined us and will also participate in our event.

Making the Art of Love is an elegant event designed for couples and singles who wish to explore more into the potentials of a relationship and via inspirational talks and performances to showcase that the art of being and keeping together is something we need to work on, by being present, work hard, invest attention and energy with each other. The event will take place on the 11th February 2023, starting at 6pm at Exhibit8 Gallery in Limassol.

The event’s agenda consists of an inspirational speech conducted by Dr. Elena Gopchuk, PhD, MD lifestyle medicine consultant, sexologist and will be supported by a series of dance performances, music, body art painting and canvas painting, erotic poetry music and aromas. The event will host a cat walk show of nightwear and lingerie as well as some propositions for sensual body jewellery.

During the event, Exhibit8 Gallery will be hosting works of painting and photography by distinguished artists exploring the fields of love, sensuality, eroticism and togetherness through their work. The artworks will be available to the public for sale. Wine will be offered to all participants by the Wine Gallery of the venue.

International sound-theatre duo Physical Plastic presents their provocative show Touch(ed)—a solo performance using autobiographical events to confront gender bias and cultural ideals around intimacy—in life and in art-making itself. Touch(ed) satirizes “slut-shaming” and the perceived vulgarity of the single woman versus the ideal of the nuclear family, and asks how performance can be a vehicle for transgressive ideals which prove difficult to uphold in real life. Arriving at the artist’s own trajectory as a married woman and mother, the work proposes that the popular cultural mythology of monogamy and motherhood is an elusive ideal for the de-sexualized mother-artist, who finds herself struggling to thrive amidst her physical metamorphosis and the demands of care-taking.
