ABOUT SLOW FOOD
Slow Food is an international movement that promotes traditional cooking with high-quality, local ingredients. It aims to preserve regional cuisines and advocate for sustainable food practices. Spaghettata is proud to represent the philosophy of the Slow Food Movement in Cyprus.
THE PRODUCTS
For our Spaghettata, we’ve selected a remarkable lineup of Italian ingredients that celebrate tradition, terroir, and taste. The centerpiece — Pasta di Gragnano IGP, crafted in the historical pasta capital near Naples using 100% Italian durum wheat and slow-dried for up to 48 hours, with its signature bronze-cut texture that perfectly holds the sauce. From the north, we bring the delicate Prosciutto San Daniele by Villani — air-cured to perfection and praised for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and complex aroma. Our dishes are finished with Barbera Lorenzo N°3 D.O.P. Val di Mazara extra virgin olive oil — a strictly organic Sicilian oil with almond notes and a gentle peppery finish. For the base of our sauces, we use Demetra tomato products from Emilia-Romagna, including sun-ripened semi-dried tomatoes and velvet-smooth passata, processed just hours after harvest to preserve their full summer flavor. Every ingredient is selected not only for quality but for its story — to create a Sunday meal rich in authenticity and heart.
LOCATION & ESSENTIALS
The event takes place at the venue of the general partner of the event – Tsiakkas Winery, located at the following address. Public parking is available upon approaching the winery.
Spaghettata is a family gathering — created for adults and little ones aged 6 and above. An animator will be on site to entertain the young guests.
