Dancing to the rhythm of music!
An explosive concert by Sistema Cyprus and the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra
Get ready for an unforgettable musical evening full of passion, rhythm, and inspiration! Sistema Cyprus joins forces with the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra in a unique collaboration, where 160 children from Sistema Cyprus’s four orchestras and 20 professional musicians from the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra take the stage to sweep us away “Dancing to the rhythm” (Bailando al compás)!
The collaboration between the young musicians of Sistema Cyprus and the professionals of the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra in a Side by Side format is a celebration of growth, inspiration, and musical coexistence – full of passion, smiles, and strong emotions. For the audience, it is the ultimate chance to feel the power of music as it unites generations, experiences, and cultures, bringing the stage alive with heart and rhythm.

The program features masterpieces of orchestral music, including Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Mandolins and Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto. The musical journey continues with pieces from Russia, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and of course… Cyprus! A special moment of the evening will be the piece “Levant” by Cypriot composer Giorgos Karvellos.

About Sistema Cyprus
Sistema Cyprus is a social-music orchestra program founded in 2017 that offers free music education to children and young people in Cyprus. Inspired by Venezuela's El Sistema, the program focuses on personal development, social inclusion, and empowerment through music, providing children from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to discover and realize their potential.
Since its establishment, more than 500 children and young people have participated in our programs. Over 40 students have taken part in international concerts, masterclasses, and collaborations with El Sistema-inspired programs in multiple countries.
Sistema Cyprus encourages participation and collaboration through music activities, fostering creativity, collective spirit, and active citizenship. The program welcomes children and young people from all backgrounds, including those with a migrant background, refugees, and those with fewer opportunities, promoting social cohesion and integration within the community.

About Cyprus Chamber Orchestra
Cyprus Chamber Orchestra (CCO) was established in December 2016. It is a non-profit organization and was founded by Natalie Neophytou and Nihat Agdac. After receiving the ‘Stelios Cyprus Bicommunal Award 2016’ the orchestra made its first appearance in the local artistic scene, in December 2016, and has since then reached a large number of audiences.
Cyprus Chamber Orchestra has followed an artistic journey, participating in or organizing various artistic events, as a chamber orchestra as well as smaller musical ensemble. Collaborations include partnerships with similar artistic ensembles such as Sistema Cyprus – March 2022, “Let the Children Dream,” and Dance Cyprus – July 2017, “Myths of Galatea” (Rialto Theatre and Paphos Castle Square), as well as with institutions like embassies ,July 2023 – “Concert for Peace” in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, the European Office of Cyprus, and the UNHCR. #UnitedByMusic, a joint concert where the CCO artists played side by side with Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra artists as part of Pafos2017, was watched live by almost 2000 people and was clicked more than 40.000 times
