Το Ballet Philippines είναι ένα επαγγελματικό εθνικό μπαλέτο με ιστορία 56 ετών.

ΘΡΥΛΟΣ ΤΗΣ ΑΓΑΠΗΣ (Ivatan)
 Μετά από ένα ναυάγιο, ένας ναυτικός βρίσκεται σε ένα απομακρυσμένο νησί. Μια κοπέλα από τον λαό Ivatan του σώζει τη ζωή. Ανάμεσά τους γεννιέται αγάπη — αλλά το Πνεύμα της Γης μετατρέπει τον ξένο σε πέτρα. Μόνο ένα θαύμα μπορεί να τον επαναφέρει στη ζωή.
Ένα камерικό μπαλέτο-θρύλος με μουσική εμπνευσμένη από αυθεντικά ψαράδικα τραγούδια των νησιών Batanes.

ΟΝΕΙΡΟ (Panaginip)
 Δώδεκα πριγκίπισσες — καθεμία το πνεύμα μιας περιοχής των Φιλιππίνων. Κάθε νύχτα φεύγουν κρυφά σε ένα μαγικό δάσος, όπου τις περιμένει μόνο ένα πράγμα: ο χορός. Χωρίς δράμα, χωρίς ίντριγκες — καθαρή χαρά της κίνησης.
12 ζευγάρια στη σκηνή, 12 κοστούμια, 12 χαρακτήρες. Ένα πολύχρωμο, γιορτινό μπαλέτο divertissement εμπνευσμένο από παραμύθι των Αδελφών Γκριμ.

Ο Μαρτινιούκ συνδυάζει την αυστηρή κλασική τεχνική με τη ζωντανή κινησιολογία των φιλιππινέζικων παραδοσιακών χορών, δημιουργώντας ένα μπαλέτο όπου η ακαδημαϊκή σχολή και η εθνογραφία συνυπάρχουν ως ενιαίο σύνολο.

Πρόκειται για κλασικό μπαλέτο στις πουέντ — με καθαρή τεχνική, όμορφες γραμμές και μεγάλη ομάδα στη σκηνή.

MMA Bushido Cyprus — Fighting Championship is the first MMA-only cage event of its kind to take place in Cyprus. On Saturday, 9 May 2026, Paphos Castle will host an extraordinary night of professional Mixed Martial Arts competition under internationally recognised MMA rules.

The event features 13 bouts across multiple weight divisions, with fighters representing Cyprus, Poland, Lithuania,  Israel, Russia, Georgia, Germany, Greece and Palestine competing in the cage. Join us at the Cyprus Diaspora Forum 2026 for a compelling fireside chat that goes deep inside the world of intelligence, counterterrorism, and whistleblowing, offering a rare and unfiltered perspective on global security, power, and accountability.

The discussion features a former journalist, CIA counterterrorism officer, and senior investigator for the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who also served as a counterterrorism consultant for ABC News. His career placed him at the centre of some of the most consequential security operations of the post-9/11 era, including involvement in the 2002 capture in Pakistan of Abu Zubaydah—then believed to be a senior figure within Al-Qaeda.

In 2007, he became a whistleblower after publicly exposing the CIA’s interrogation programme, asserting that the use of torture had become official US government policy authorised at the highest level. His disclosures made international headlines and ultimately led to his prosecution under the Espionage Act during the Obama administration—becoming the sixth whistleblower ever charged under the legislation. He subsequently served 23 months in prison.

Since then, he has become a prolific author, publishing eight books exploring intelligence, secrecy, geopolitics, and survival, including The Reluctant Spy, Doing Time Like a Spy, The Convenient Terrorist, and The CIA Insider’s Guide to the Iran Crisis.

This fireside chat will explore the intersection of intelligence, ethics, accountability, and the personal cost of speaking truth to power in the world of global security.
