«THE WIZARD OF OZ»

On May 16 at 7 pm at the Russian Cultural Centre (Nicosia, 16 Alasias Street), and on May 17 at 7 pm at the concert hall of the Xenion school in Paralimni (1st April Avenue, 5281 Paralimni) the famous Bryantsev Youth Spectator Theatre from St. Petersburg presents the children's play "The Wizard of Oz" based on the beloved by everyone children adventure story.

 This is a wonderful play with beautiful costumes, decorations and  great performance by all actors that will delight young spectators and their parents.  The performance will be shown in Russian with English subtitles.

 Bryantsev Youth Spectator Theatre from St. Petersburg for almost a hundred years now is the center of attraction for St. Petersburg children and young spectators.  In the field of children's performances, he has no equal throughout St. Petersburg.  In 2017 Bryantsev theatre received the award "Theater of the Year."

 A colorful play about friendship, courage and fearlessness based on the books by Alexander Volkov will be presented the the Cypriot spectator.  The performance introduces the main storyline and main characters - girl Ellie, cheerful puppy Totoshka, Tin Woodsman, the Cowardly Leo and the scary Scarecrow, and of course, their most interesting adventures.

 Following the yellow brick towards adventure the friends go in search of their happiness.  Every hero has his own happiness.  Ellie and Totoshka were blown away by a hurricane far from their home.  The Tin Woodman has lost his heart and dreams of finding it.  The Scarecrow lacks brains.  And the Cowardly Lion is truly a coward to be the king of beasts.  They head to Oz.  There lives a powerful wizard who will surely be able to help our friends to find their happiness.

 The duration of the performance is 1 hour 45 minutes, with one intermission, the age category is 3+.
