About the event:
Lev Goldort and Max Sotnikov are residents of the Yalla.Balagan stand-up community and hosts of the weekly news podcast “What's Up with the Jews?” They are embarking on their first European tour with a stand-up show about moving, cultural clashes, and surviving with a sense of humor. They emigrated before it became mainstream.
Lev Goldort came to Israel from Moscow, where he had moved from Novosibirsk's Akademgorodok. Lev hardly ever talks about everyday observations and tends to stay in the realm of concepts. He will talk about waiting for the dictator's death, why reality is like a fir forest, and sing Civil Defense (out of tune).
Max Sotnikov — was born in Donetsk and found his place in Israel. He will talk about his childhood as a Jew in Ukraine, moving to another country, the war, and his observations about life in Israel.
