CYPRUS - RUSSIAN FESTIVAL 2019

The Cyprus-Russian Festival, organised by the newspaper “Vestnik Kipra“, will be held this year for the 14th time! The festival takes place under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Cyprus and the Limassol Municipality. This great celebration is the symbol of friendship, mutual understanding and close cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.

We would like to welcome all our guests to the official opening ceremony on June 1, 2019.

At 19:00 - the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, will greet the participants on the main stage and will talk about the importance of relations with Russia and the friendship between the peoples of Russia and Cyprus.

The attendees are also traditionally welcomed by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cyprus, Stanislav Osadchiy and the mayor of Limassol, Nicos Nicolaides. Among other honoured guests — ambassadors of foreign states, members of the Parliament of Cyprus, mayors, representatives of diplomatic missions and public organisations.

The official ceremony will be closed by the performance of the "velvet voice of St Petersburg", the successor of the great singers of the romantic song: Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck — Yuri Okhochinskogo.

At 22:00 — the concert of the legendary Soviet, Uzbek and Russian origin singer Aziza will begin.
At 22:55 guests will see the traditional fireworks, which symbolise the completion of the first day of the festival.
